Hpe: Howard and Palmyra soils, 25-35% slopes. Well drained, good to fair moisture-holding capacity, rapid runoff, erosion a constant threat.
 
Ws: Wayland and Sloan silt loams. deep, fertile, poorly drained to very poorly drained, frequently flooded, wet-tolerant plants dominant.
VEGETATIVE COVER:
 
Mixed hardwoods with Lonicera spp. understory. Acer saccharum, Betula alleghaniensis, Tilia americana, Prunus serotina, Carpinus caroliniana, Ostrya virginiana, Fraxinus americana, Acer rubrum, Alnus spp..
 
Areas dominated by Populus tremuloides and P. grandidentata.
 
Old fields with shrubs. Lonicera spp., Cornus amomum, Cornus racemosum, Solidago spp..
 
Hardwood woodland plants, herbaceous upland plants, coniferous woodland plants, grasses, legumes.
